Our Center
Bright Start Child Care & Preschool has served children and families in Homewood and surrounding communities since 2003. We provide care and education for children from 6 weeks through 13 years of age in safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classrooms where children are encouraged to learn, play, explore, and grow.
As a Christian child care center, we incorporate age-appropriate biblical principles, prayer, kindness, compassion, and respect into the children’s daily experiences. Our teachers use Creative Curriculum to plan engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support the development of the whole child.
Bright Start also offers Illinois Preschool for All programming in our Discovery and Shining Stars Pre-K classrooms and partners with Illinois Action for Children to provide Prevention Initiative services in our Infant Room. We are proud to have earned the ExceleRate Illinois Silver Circle of Quality designation, reflecting our commitment to quality learning environments, professional development, and continuous improvement.
